Our God is an
awesome God! We are grateful to Him for holding and keeping us
through the fury of Hurricane Katrina. It was His hand of mercy
that held and kept us while my wife and I, along with more than one
hundred members of our church and community found, shelter in the
educational building of our church. Our church building is only a
mile north of the Gulf of Mexico, and yet, the Lord chose to spare
us. As a matter of fact, our building only sustained very minor
damages. We were even able to worship in our sanctuary the Sunday
following the storm with our electrical power restored.
With our building
intact, we are blessed to have a place and an opportunity to
minister those in our area who have lost so much. We are ever so
grateful to those of you, from all over this country, who have done
so many wonderful things to help us during these tough times. And,
for those of you who wish to help us, we invite you to view our
special Hurricane Katrina Page.
Now, to our members,
both those of you who are scattered about throughout the country,
and those of you here, at home, our Deacons are currently busy
trying to make contact with all of our households. If you are an
FMBC member, and you know that reaching you will present a problem
for our officers, please contact us. We are concerned about each of
you.
Last, but not least,
we are happy to present to you some new and improved website
features. Among them, you will find that you can now both read, as
well as hear, messages we have recently shared on Sunday mornings.
We pray that our website will be a blessing to you.
In the Lord’s Service,
